Habits That Immediately Increase Your Mental Strength

1. Overshoot

I am reading, exercising and writing. Everyone has daily goals. I always overshoot one. Whatever. I do a little extra work on a project every day.

I tried to become mentally stronger because my actions didn't match my ambitions.

2. Shock your system

In 2018, my brother asked me to join the Vipassana beginner course. I enthusiastically agreed. I had no idea.

 You can't bring phones, books, or food—just clothes. Over 10 hours of meditation, less food, and no talking are required.

3. Delay gratification

Delaying gratification is sexy. I use it everywhere. Avoid present pleasures.

These are doable. My vice is cookies. Friendship is one of life's greatest gifts. Good movies are my favourite.
